BOARDING HOUSE

Cadet College Lahore is also a residential institution. Students are accommodated in Houses with capacity for 20 to 25 Cadets. Every House organizes its own study periods, Social functions, excursions, meetings, indoor and outdoor games, etc.. Boarders are under the charge of a Housemaster who is assisted by a Deputy Housemaster and a Physical Training Instructor. These competitions are held in game studies, extra curricular activities. Drill martial arts, games, qirat and naat, debates, public speaking and cleanliness. Certificates of Merit,Shields and trophies are awarded to winners. The College shield is awarded to the overall Champion House. These activities go a long way in promoting team work and espirit de corps.

DAILY SCHEDULE

The day dawns with the call of prayers. Cadet pray five times led by a qualified Qari who is also a religious instructor. Immediately after morning, prayers, Cadets have Morning Physical Training Period. After P.T, Cadets get ready and go to mess for breakfast. Late Cadets have to miss Breakfast. Cadets start tje day with Morning Parade, Assembly and prayers before going to lecture halls. The Curriculum includes a period for Military Drill, Physical Training or Martial Arts and a Refreshment Break. First Dispersal takes place for Zuhr Prayer and Lunch followed by Afternoon Prep classes.
The Second Break takes place for Asr Prayer and Tea Break. Where after the Afternoon Prep classes continue till the Games/P.T period. The Dispersal is for Maghreb Prayer and is followed by Dars-e-Quran and Dinner. The Third Break is for Isha' Prayer. Motivation Lectures are imparted after Maghrib and Isha Prayers. After Isha Prayers in winter and after Magrib Prayers in summer Cadets visit the Recreation Hall. Here they play Indoor games, read newspapers, magazines etc. They can also watch selected Television Programmes or an Entertainment Educative Movie. After the Recreation period, Cadets go to lecture halls for night prep Classes which continue till 10:30 P.M. In the next 15 minutes Cadets report to their respective dormitory. Here they check their books, copies and arrange their uniforms for the next day, Lights are off at 10:45 P.M. while a zero bulb remains on all night. At 11:00 P.M Cadets are fast asleep.
